Resolved Question: Buckwheat hull pillows ?
What is your opinion. Are they worth the price? moreResolved Question: Found Bugs in my Buckwheat Pillow?
recently I found an infestation of bugs inside my buckwheat pillow. Needless to say I was grossed out by my find. The bugs I found were basically like the ones people find in your pantry/pasta/rice. So now I need to know if there is a way to get rid of these pests without throwing my pillow away or without ruining it, as it was an expensive purchase. I have been searching online for an answer, but mostly I get FAQs from pillow retailers; and those arent helpful as they all seem to state that these pillows are immune from bug infestations. I do live in a humid climate, so I suppose that might be a factor. In anycase, I was hoping somebody that experienced this situation themselves might be able to help. Thanks! moreResolved Question: does anyone out there use buckwheat pillows?

I know the best buckwheat pillows have been fumigated, but my question is, are they safe to use? What kind of fumigation are they talking about? Is it poisonous? If so, of course I don't want my grandchildren resting their heads on these pillows. Does anyone know? moreResolved Question: How do I sleep with a buckwheat pillow?
I just got this pillow recently that's filled with rice/buckwheat hulls. I saw so many good reviews for it from Amazon.com but I'm having a hard time sleeping comfortably with it and I still wake up with a painful neck sometimes. The person who sold it is beans72, if that helps, from this link: http://www.amazon.com/Organic-Buckwheat-Pillow-Japanese-Regular/dp/B0006HVVFK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1204265423&sr=8-2 ....I've tried removing some hulls but that doesn't help much. It's hard and when I put my head on it, it doesn't yield to make a space for it. I really want to like this pillow. How can I make it work for me? moreResolved Question: What is the difference between regular buckwheat hulls and Sobakawa hulls?
They use this to fill bed pillows in Japan. They have been advertised on T.V., but I don't know the difference between the regular hulls and the Sobakawa. Which is better and why? "They" say not to buy the pillows that are made in the U.S., but the ones only from Japan. I would like to buy some, but, even though I looked it up on the internet, I still don't know which is best or why. Can anyone help? Sobakawa is buckwheat, but I still don't know how it differs from the regular buckwheat hulls. Anyone? moreResolved Question: Where can I buy buckwheat hulls in bulk?

moreResolved Question: Where (retail stores) can one buy a buckwheat pillow (Houston)?
I've researched and read the praises of pillows with natural materials like buckwheat hulls and millet - theyre cool, they keep their shape, etc However, I can't seem to find a store that carries it! There are a few places to buy online (ebay, amazon, pillowcompany.com), but I want to find brick & mortar store so I can return if they dont work out Looked at target.com, macys, nordstroms, sears, etc... no luck??? moreResolved Question: Would these sell at a flea market?
I am needing money for Christmas. I can get a table for $20 a weekend at a huge indoor flea market here is San Antonio. I am thinking of making small aromatherapy pillows made of buckwheat and lavendar that you can freeze or microwave (heat is my favorite) to help with aches and pains. They would cost about $3 a piece to make and I would sell for $8. I also thought about reed diffusers. They are the "latest thing" in making a room smell really well without the fire of a candle. It would cost about $5 to make and I would sell for $12. What do you think? moreResolved Question: Which is a better filling for herbal pillows - buckwheat or flax hulls?
I make herbal pillows and I'm looking to us a natural filling now; I've seen both used in pillows and I don't know which is the better filling. These pillows do contain lavender and other herbs :). I'm after information on an alternative to a synthetic stuffing for the pillows. The herbs will still be a central part of the pillow. Thank you :) The pillows I am talking about are dream pillows and eye pillows not for heating; I guess i should have been more specific. But you have given me some good feedback; I do plan to make heat pads so I'll be able to use this information then. Thank you all :) moreResolved Question: Which buckwheat husk pillow should I buy?
Everyone claims to have the best quality buckwheat pillow. "Sobakawa", "Sobagara", "Buckwheat Husk/Hull"... No matter what they call it, trying to find a good brand and company is really hard. Any suggestions? Please no eBay or answers telling me to search the internet. I want answers from ONLY actual buckwheat pillow owners. If anyone has anything against these pillows, I'd like to know what you found faulty about the pillow. THANKS! moreResolved Question: how do i clean a buckwheat hull filled pillow?

I am a front/side sleeper. I've tried buckwheat, memory foam, and normal pillows of varying firmnesses. My neck and shoulders are always stiff and achy when I wake up. I simply cannot fall asleep on my back, so that's not an option. Does anyone out there have a pillow type/brand recommendation? Prefer answers from people in medical/chiropractic fields only. Sane- I'll have to try that, as I have that same issue with the arms, and then my hand gets numb sometimes. So do you mean you stand the pillow up against the headboard, or is it laid flat and you and the soft pillow are on top of it? Trying to visualize that. moreResolved Question: How do you clean or sanitize buckwheat pillows...I heard that they can attract dust mites. Is this true?
