Resolved Question: Buy a new airbrush compressor? I NEED YOUR OPINION!?
I have this "Campbell Hausfeld" brand air compressor. I use it for airbrushing but for some reason it loses air pressure too fast even when I don't do anything to it. It works fine but I think I should buy a compressor that is made for airbrushing, unlike the air compressor I have now, which can be used for anything. I need your opinion about this. An airbrushing artist's opinion would be great. It'd be also great to have an opinion from an expert at airbrushiing The compressor needle goes up to the number 6. It shuts off automatically and then I have to wait like 20 minutes or something for it to cool down and use it again. This is why I'm thinking of buying a new compressor. I still NEED your opinion. moreResolved Question: Does an air compressor adapter work on most air compressors?
I have a Campbell Hausfeld air compressor that can be used for airbrushing. If I go to home depot would that have an air compressor adapter for it. I looked on there website and they had one but i'm not sure what size to get. Are they all the same size? PLZ HELP ME!!! NOTE TO THE PEOPLE: No unspecific questions. Be freakin specific. moreResolved Question: Air compressor chugs out?
I was give a small Campbell Hausfeld 8 gallon air compressor. It usually starts fine, but some times after filling up to 125 psi and allowed to sit, if you use it, and it tries to kick on, it chugs, only coming up to about 1/3 normal speed, then shuts off. If I bleed the pressure down to about 50 psi, SOME times it will kick back on and run normally. Sometimes it wont do anything but chug chug chug die. I've changed the oil, drained the tank, air filter looks good. The only thing I can think is over heating? But doesn't seem to be. I'm lost at what to try next. moreResolved Question: Can a use a paint spray gun with this model air compressor?
Campbell Hausfeld 02-Gallon Direct Drive Quiet Air Compressor Model FP2040 OR with a Campbell Hausfeld 02-Gallon Direct Model FP2048? I want to do some fine finishing work not much just about a minute of spraying for each coat. If you can recommend a reasonable priced gun to that's great. Below are the specs for Model Number: FP2040 but both compressors are very similar. Oh and if you can give me a reason why HP is N/A that would be awesome thanks in advance for your answers! =D Manufacturer: Campbell Hausfeld Tank Size: 2 Gallons Motor Running HP: N/A HP Voltage: 120 Volts Phase: Single Magnetic Starter: No Pump CFM @ 40 PSI: 1.0 CFM @ 90 PSI: 0.7 Max Pressure: 100 PSI Overview Dimensions: 17"H x 10"W x 18"L Product Weight: 18 lbs Warranty: 1 Year compressors moreResolved Question: Air compressor 60 gallon?
I just bought a 60 gallon campbell hausfeld, it's rated at 10.2 scfm. Will this be good enough to power tools like 2 sprayers to paint a car, and maybe two sanders? moreResolved Question: Which air compressor is a better choice? Kobalt - Cambell Hausefield?
My husband is going to buy an air compressor and he can not decide between Kobalt 80 gallon or the Campbell Hausefield 80 gallon - both single stage (I Think) So my question is DO you have one or the other and have any feedback on them to help him make up his mind? Thanks in advance for your help. moreResolved Question: campbell hausfeld any good?
They have a great deal on air compressors and a lot of tools. But is it really true that I get what I pay for? do they break easily moreResolved Question: I have a 4000 watt generator, but cant run an 1800 watt air compressor. Why?
I have a 4000 run-watt Coleman power mate generator. Also have a Campbell-Hausfeld air compressor. The compressor is plugged directly into the generator. The first time the compressor starts, it starts and runs fine until it shuts off when the tank is full. When the air pressure in the tank drops below the preset pressure, the compressor comes back on but has a hard time (runs a little slow) and then trips the breaker on the generator after only a few seconds. The air compressor info plate states the compressor pulls 15 amps at 120 volts. That is 1800 watts. The generator outputs 4000 watts. Plenty of power to run the compressor. What gives? It works fine the first time the compressor comes on. It doesn't struggle at all. The very next time, it has a hard time getting the compressor motor started and upto full speed. It always trips the breaker. Works fine on house power tho. I really don't think its a generator problem but maybe someone else can tell me more? Any comments appreciated moreResolved Question: Any thoughts on cordless air compressors?
My regular 2 gallon corded compressor just died on me after 5 years of service.. I'm thinkin about getting one of the CAMPBELL HAUSFELD cordless compressors from Wal*mart. Any thoughts? I really would only use it just the occassional car tire pressure maintenence, nothing too serious. Are they any good? What are the pros and cons? Thanks. moreVoting Question: TP Filter VS. Compressed Air Dryer?
I do normal body work out of my 2 car garage. I use tools such as a 6" D/A Sander, Inline Board Sander, 1/2" Drive Impact Wrench, Sand Blaster, DeVilbiss HVLP Spray Gun, and a Media Spot Blaster. I currently have a Campbell Hausfeild 60 Gallon Compressor, and have terrible problems with water in my lines. I have a water trap that does absolutely nothing. I am now getting a spare 10 gallon tank for the air/water to travel to first, then am going to get either one of those Toilet Paper water filters, or am looking at a DeVilbiss Desiccant Filter/Compressed Air Dryer. Any opinions on which would work best? The TP Filter is about 80 bucks, and the air dryer will be about 250. Which is better or are there any first hand users? I will be moving my 2nd tank away from the compressor/tank when I get one. Along with the filter or dryer. I just need to know which one to get. And I currently drain the water from the main tank about every 30 minutes of use. moreResolved Question: Air Compressor Brands, wondering what you think of them.?
i am currently looking into a new air compressor for my garage. i know Ingersoll Rand is a great compressor along with Craftsmen. but i was wondering what people think of these other brands: Belaire, Industrial Gold, Schulz, Industrial Air, Campbell Hausfeld? thank you very much, we right now have a craftsmen, but its 25 years old and has been struggling lately. moreResolved Question: I have a husky air compressor and I need to find a new piston rebuild kit for it.?
I have looked everywhere and it was not one made by campbell and hausfeld and husky's web site has no contact information so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and was able to find parts. moreResolved Question: Why does my air compressor trip the breaker when it reaches max and cuts off, or tries to restart?
I have a 13 gallon, 4HP, Campbell Hausfield air compressor that I have trouble with. It will start and run until it reaches the cutoff pressure, at which it blows the circuit breaker. I bypassed cutoff switch and wired it straight to the wall oulet to test the compressor and motor, and it ran fine. I reinstalled the pressure switch and ran it again but stopped it before it reached the cutoff point. When I tried to start it again, the unit dragged like it was under a large load and tripped the breaker. I did this again but before trying to restart, I bleed the air off and it starts fine, repeatedly. That is when I ordered the CHCW210100SJ pressure switch. Now I have the new switch on and I have the same problem. Do I have something else wrong or did I receive a new-defective switch assembly? 1 FURNAS TO CONDOR P/S part # CHCW210100SJ $32.54 This is a standard 115 volt, small compressor. It has been running very well for two years on a standard garage outlet. I have replaced the breaker with a 20amp, checked all connections. REMEMBER, if I drain the air down it will start just fine. moreResolved Question: old campbell hausfeld air compressor. how to figure out year, model, and make?

moreResolved Question: Air Compressor choosing help for using a framing nailer and other nailers?
I am a weekend do-it-yourselfer looking to buy an air compressor to aid in a project basement finishing of a 12’ x 12’ room. One tool I would like to use is a framing nailer with an air compressor to frame the partition walls. I really don’t want to spend a lot of money on a compressor. I have spoken to a tool manufacturer on their framing nailer and they keep saying they recommend an air compressor with 6 CFM @ 90 PSI. Doesn’t CFM mean the recovery rate of the compressor? If I have 90 PSI coming through the regulator then it should work fine right? If I have to waiting a few minutes between shooting a half a dozen nails, its no big deal. Would I be better with a 150 max PSI compressor or one that is 125 max PSI? Compressor? Porter Cable 150 max PSI, 6 gallon – 2.6 SCFM @ 90 PSI ($180 US, includes brad nailer) or Campbell Hausfeld 1.3 H.P. 125 max PSI, 15 gallon – 3.7 SCFM @ 90 PSI ($180 US) Framing nailer? Grizzly 21 degree round-head model #H7665 ($100 US) Thanks!!! Aussie, you sound like your giving me advice if I were a new contractor. I will only be using nailers ...no wrenchs, grinders, or sprayers. I still consider CFM recovery....Is it not true that CFM is the flow of air into the tank that the compressor motor can produce? If so, CFM is only a term used when the compressor is running....when off, you simply have PSI until it lowers to the point that triggers the compressor on to repressurize the tank at the desinated flow rate (CFM). ......maybe I am wrong, but this seems to be logical. As I stated before, I have no problem waiting after every 1/2 dozen nails for the compressor to catch up. I'd rather do that than pay an arm and leg for one you suggest moreResolved Question: what kind of air compressor?
I bought a campbell hausfeld last year. it was a 26 gallon, and i think 5.5 HP. But the thing truly sucked. It would take it 15 minutes to fill up, and then as you were using it, sometimes it would take upwards to 25 mins to fill up again, even if it was just idle. I had it rebuilt under warranty, same thing happens when i got it back, so I pawned the sucker, i don't want any part of it. Now I am in the market for another. Are all oil free compressors crap? I want something that will last me for years to come, and it seems that with no oil, parts will wear fast. I can't spend more than 300, so what do yall recommend? Thanks. using it for impact wrench, finish nailers, various tools for working on car, grinder, and chisel. Only one tool at a time though. moreResolved Question: I am looking for an owners manual for a Campbell hausfeld vt 4700 air compressor?
