Drinking Sqeeze It "Squeeze The Fun moreResolved Question: What do you think of my story about kindergardeners? ?
It needs to be perfect, any suggestions? After only a few moments the red door that seems to so big compared to the little kids that squeeze through it opened just wide enough for the kindergartener to climb through. Every time it opened, it was another kid’s turn to get their backpack and lunch box with as few distractions as possible. The kids ran out to get their bags. Some were overwhelmingly sparkly with Barbie, others are batman, and my favorite one was lime green with a big pink daisy climbing up the front. One little boy had a cubby stuffed with a cars backpack, a cars blanket, and a cars lunch box. The twins had matching backpacks, one with pink stripes and the other with blue stripes. The little boy with the light up sketchers walked distractedly out of the red door and quietly got his bag, then watched another teacher in a different room read a page or two of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. The boy then scooped his red bag up and his green lunch box clutched tightly in his fist and struggled back through the big red door into his own class. The smells of play dough flowed from the purple door, giggles could be heard from the green door, and “vroom vroom” noises of boys playing with cars came out of the red door. In the room with the yellow door, the teacher was taking role to make sure every little kid made it back from recess. The next door opened but this time it’s the green one, the kids rushed out in a little clump to collect the remaining backpacks from the circle of cubbies. As the kindergarteners walked back into the room the teacher helped them stuff their picture books in their tiny bags. Once they had their bags stuffed with a nights worth of books they were ready to go home. any title ideas? moreResolved Question: what did you do for Thankgiving?
So what did you do for Thanksgiving? Heres my Thanksgiving My Thanksgiving For Thanksgiving I basically did nothing. I had no family come over, except my PaPa. We had the traditional meal. Turkey, mash potaoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and mold, sweet potato casserole, and cheese-broccoli casserole. We had Thankgiving at my house, like we all ways do. After our Thankgiving meal, my best friend, Matt, called me and asked if I would enjoy coming over to his house, for dinner. So I went to his house for dinner. We ended up watching all the Halloween movies in a row. It was really fun. I also ended up spending the night at his house as well. I slept in his sister’s room, Layla. Next morning, we left for Bojangles to get breakfast. Then we went to Wal-Mart to check out deals on laptops and staroes. It took a while because Layla, being 8, wanted to make a list of the entire Barbie and Bratz isles. I ended up making a wish list for me and making one for Matt. He had just recently sprained his wrist and so he couldn’t write. On my list is a Eee PC laptop and American Mcgee’s Alice computer game. So far, Matts’ asked for, also, an Eee PC laptop, World of Warcraft online game, American Mcgee’s Alice computer game, a Twilight T-shirt with Edward and Bella on the front, and a new Ipod Touch. He usualy gets what he wants, so no matter how long his list is, and no matter how much it costs, he’ll get it all. Then Sherill, Matt’s mom, decided I should have lunch before I go back home. So we went to KFC and downed some fried chicken and mash potatos. I was home again an hour later. The rest of the weekend, we just moved furniture around and hooked up the Tv, VCR, surround sound, and the cable box. It was an okay Thanksgiving. I wish I could have gone to New York like some people I know. (McKenzie) moreResolved Question: Were you a child in the 80's?
Hello children of the 80's. Read this, it will take you back but be careful 'cause it will also make you realise that you are now actually quite old ........ Friendship bracelets were ties that couldn't be broken. You know all the words to "Ice Ice Baby". You wanted to be on "Jim'll Fix It". You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before he had plastic surgery. You wore one of those slap-on wristbands at some point...or heaven forbid one of those T-shirts that changed colour with heat (Global Hypercolour). You had slouch socks and puff painted your own shirt at least once. You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, Wax off". You were upset when She-ra, Princess of Power and He-Man got cancelled. You can remember watching Saved by the Bell You remember Madonna in her cone stage. You knew "The Artist" when he was humbly called "Prince." You even wore fluorescent-neon clothing... My Little Pony, Gummy Bears and Transformers are familiar to you. You ever had a Swatch Watch. You actually spent countless hours trying to perfect the "Care Bear stare." You believed that "By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power!" You spent hours in the basement building and re- building Lego cities. Big wheels and BMX's were the way to go. With your pink (or blue) portable tape player, you sang to Kylie and Jason! If you ever owned Polly Pocket or Micro Machines. If you ever made Ken fall in love with Barbie. You know what " Psyche" means. Partying "like it's 1999" seemed SO far away. You knew that Transformers were "more than meets the eye". You wore a banana clip at some point during your youth. You actually thought "Dirty Dancing" was a REALLY good film. You were led to believe that in the year 2000 we'd all be living in space. You know what leg warmers are and probably had a pair. You wore biker shorts underneath a short skirt and felt stylish. You had to change into play clothes after school. You recorded songs off the radio with your boom box. Somehow you still know all the words to songs played on VH1's "Big 80s" Your arm was full of rubber bracelets. You wore those wide, colourful shoelaces. It baffles me why parents and loved ones would purchase and allow an item that displays women in a very negitive way. I'm talking about Bratz. These disgusting pieces of plastic have taken over toy boxes, bedrooms and lunch kits. What kind of sane person would allow their childs last image at night to be of a botox injected prostitute? These are the images little girls idolize. Given, some Barbies also now look like skanks but it's still possible to find Dr. Barbie. Also, can someone tell me why Baby Bratz are wearing something similar to something on a bondage site? Children are easily influenced. These little girls like their scantly dressed dolls and you can find clothes similar in many stores. You let her have her way already so just finish the job and hike that skirt up. This is just another prime example of parents needing to take responsibility. Yes, let kids be kids but there's also a thing called common sense. Comments please... "But I like them." "My friend has one." "It's a Christmas gift, so it's okay." There is more then enough crap out there brainwashing people of all ages, why allow it in your home? It may not be my problem at the moment (seeings how I don't have children.) But what about it 10 years (or less) when these kids start to venture out on their own? Doesn't that come soceities problem then. I was so pleased when I saw My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake make a come back on to store shelves but obviously people just don't care anymore. moreResolved Question: who remembers these? You Know You Grew Up In The 80's or Early 90's If:?
